Dr. Raheleh Tarani (Ph.D, Reg. Psych)

Rahel is a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional with 15+ years of work experience in various treatment and educational settings. She is a practicing therapist with a thriving interest in helping people reach their health and healing goals.

Rahel is a member of the Psychological Association of Alberta and is certified by the College of Alberta Psychologists as a Registered Provisional Psychologist. She has also been a member of the Canadian Psychological Association.

In terms of qualifications, Rahel has graduate and undergraduate degrees in Psychology from reputed accredited universities in Iran, India, and the USA. In addition to holding Bachelor’s, Master of Science, and Ph.D. degrees, as well as a postgraduate certificate degree in Guidance and Counselling, she also has been extensively trained in various mental health, special needs, and public health related fields. As a research-oriented professional, Rahel has also published and presented various mental health-related research papers at national and international conferences.

Rahel has strong clinical skills and comprehensive knowledge of various therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapies; solution-focused therapies; psychoeducational interventions; behaviour management; biofeedback/neurofeedback techniques; art and play therapies. She is experienced in crisis management techniques, trauma-informed care, and client-centered approaches.
